Now this was a movie I did not know anything about and was told about it by someone whom was / is contemplating joining the military himself. So of course out of respect I gave it a watch.
The beginning of the movie is very dramatic, very forthcoming and very well done. The rest of the movie, is where the problems start unfolding. Woody Harrelson is an incredible actor, and his recent performance in Zombieland brought him back to acting stardom.
Problem is, this movie could have been another incredible role, if ONLY it was continued as it started. The story started to drag on, leave its initial path and follow the main actors stupidity, instead of following what the movies title encompasses.
I have never seen a movie with this as a premise, which is what made me so curious once I started watching it. It is a difficult situation to have the military come to your house, tell you your family has been KIA, and not show a care in the world while telling you. But that is the reality of the situation, and this showcased it perfectly in the beginning, but then strayed as I stated previously.
Just for that alone, it dropped the movie so many points on my perspective, dragged out scenes, showcasing ridiculous personal situations, add to that the fact that it just stopped making sense and the ending was boldface stupid.
Once I saw the beginning I truly thought this was going to be a sleeper movie, one that isnt considered award worthy or worthy of greatness but turns out to be. But I was let down, as well as would anyone else whom watches this.
5 / 10 [Sorry Woody.]

I am a very avid fan of MMA, I love the events, love the clothing, love their sponsorship hats, flags, the sportsmanship, most of all the respect.
Now with all of this said, I have absolutely no idea how this movie was ever constructed. I understand the TapouT brand motto being, "Never Quit".. But I am pretty sure they should have once they started seeing not only the acting, but the shitty script this movie gave way to.
Rashad Evans with some practice can definitely become an actor, he did not do so terrible in this movie, Keith Jardine the same, as well as Forrest Griffin and Nate Marquardt.. The problem is not the UFC fighters, the problem is the horrible movie they were involved with.
Shitty acting by its main actor, nothing but tits and ass for a good chunk of the movie, dont get me wrong, I love to see such, but in such a ridiculous fashion, I would much rather watch some pr0n. Shitty story line, basically is supposed to be an underdog story in the MMA world. Which it turns out, the main actors mother was a 4 time world champion boxer, whom died or was killed, dont remember dont care. It just didnt add up.
Dirty fights, fixed fights, mobsters in MMA? I understand the supposed possibility in any sport of such situations, but this is not the image MMA needs especially with the amount of negativity that was surrounding MMA the passed few years.

Coming from the director of such a classic as Training Day, I knew I needed to prepare myself for a gritty, down to earth, real scenario embracing movie. This movie definitely delivered on all of the above, but I felt there was something missing. The ending was also not one I was pleased with, as it left you with questions with no answers to them. [Not particularly about the story, moreso about some characters.]
3 of the 4 stars above were characterized as cops, one of which plays a notorious drug dealer whom just got home after 8 years, 2 cops with a conflicting secret life, 1 cop with a conflicting life in general, a drug dealer who wants out.
Movie was well shot, scripting was also nicely done, acting was not bad at all and it definitely is in line with whole drama / crime genre. I am not about dramatic movies at all, but there are just those movies that grip you and do not want you to let go, this story definitely had the potential and did so in some occasions, but the ending eliminated that grasp.
Movie is well worth a watch and a buy, I cannot say I enjoyed it more than Training Day, but it definitely was up there and up to par.

Once I heard this movie was done by the lead animator of The Matrix Reloaded, I knew I had to check it out. Come to find out, it is the second movie done by him in this series, also supposedly the last.
To be honest, this movie was very well done. The animation for being done by one man was awesome, and the music played very nicely to the scenes in the movie. The dialog was not boring, the characters were interesting enough to keep you entertained, and there is no blood in the movie so kids can watch it as well. [Apart from the whole gun thing, but with no blood, it will keep them from complaining.]
The DVD itself is cheap, especially for a new release at 13.99. Support the artist, DVD can be purchased over @ http://www.killerbeanforever.com also comes with a killer 90 minute how it was made featurette.
If you have not seen it, im sure many have not, check it out. You will definitely not be disappointed, and it has enough kick ass action to make you want some more.
8.5 / 10 [Got to love the fact that its self animated, I mean come on.]

What can you expect from another Tim Burton movie? Insanity. Pure insanity. Big headed queens, incredible looking fantasy layouts, awesome characters, trippy movie scenes, and a completely custom spin on disneys original classic of the same title.
This is NOT the Alice In Wonderland some of you may remember as you were children.. This is Tim Burton's creation, spawned entirely from his head. The only thing similar to the movie of yesteryear are the characters and a familiar falling down the rabbit hole.
But the similarities are just that, as chesher is different, the story is different and enticing. I saw this one in 3D and it of course as Disney always does it is a very well done 3D movie. I read a review before saying that you can barely notice the 3D and that it did not seem to have 3D in mind and that it was added in after the fact.
These are all the reviewers opinions, and although I do respect him for saying so. Fuck him for not paying attention. This movie is to be taken as is, not to be compared with the original, and to be enjoyed by the open minded and children alike. I went to the movie theatre and there were kids there, they loved it.
People said the same about Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, but it turned out to be a very good movie as well. I enjoyed this movie, as it was different, darker, more twisted than the original. A dragon getting its head chopped off in a disney movie? Priceless.
8.5 / 10 Give it a shot, I did not regret it.

Tracy Morgan in his big break? Bruce Willis having a partner whom is comedic? O yes, this is an epic moment. lol This shit was funny, and the acting was hilarious / entertaining enough to pass by.
Sean William Scott played a thief / parkour addict that made him as hilarious as usual. The element that sort of threw me off was the mexican gang members. Their acting just was not up there at all and you had the brother of one of the heads of the gang being a puerto rican that spoke shitty spanish.
It just did not make sense, especially being spanish my damn self I felt like that kid personally extended his hand and slapped the shit out of me. lol Yes I am taking it a little far, but thats how shitty his spanish was, and for him to speak that only, is what was aggravating.
Other than that, the movie was enjoyable and you could easily spend the time in the movie theatre laughing your ass off with your friends if you went in a group.

I did not expect many laughs coming from this movie, but I just had to watch it after seeing the trailer of Hugh Grant with the bear in the outdoors and Sarah Jessica Parker still arguing with him. It just seemed so realistic and down to earth I had to give it a shot.
I was not disappointed, delivery from both of them was very well done, you could easily believe they were actually married and went through some real troubles, and their assistants you could also tell were falling for each other even though they were constantly competing with each other as well.
The couple that they end up staying with in Ray , Wyoming, was actually outstanding as well. Even though they do not speak about the problems much, when they do explain some things you could also be easily convinced they really were a married couple that had endured some trouble as well.
This is a very nicely done romantic comedy with very real situations, and can easily be watched with the person you care for and see what it truly takes to be happy with a relationship.

Finally finished watching this movie after starting to watch it around 5 times and stopping. Onto the review. . . This movie was overall alright. I cannot say that the acting had me gripped, because it did not, I also cannot say that the script was all that, because it was not.. I also will not say that the fighting had me, because it was at times, for lack of a better word or be it the perfect word, corny.
The backdrop to the story was actually enticing, but the delivery was not there and actually had me wondering why they kept running around making the same mistakes.
I will admit, I sat through the entire movie to see what the outcome of the story was, as I said it was enticing and I do love me a good story. Unfortunately, I have to be honest and say this movie although watchable, is just something to pass the time with.
6 / 10 Not the worst movie I have seen, but due to the story behind it I expected alot more.
